The Pioneer Museum Park on occasions hosts events like Pioneer Days, Biggest Morning Tea, Back to Kangaroo Valley Week, Folk Festival and special displays.

Barrengarry School visit Dec 2019
The Kangaroo Valley Historical Society organised a ‘back to Barrengarry School’ hosted by Paul and Libby Turnock. Some former students from Barrengarry School (1874-1942) and family made a trip to visit their old school and related stories of that time. The School building is a Horbury Hunt design and has been maintained in its original format.

A family’s donation
The Faulks family presented to the Museum the World War II military items of their brother John William Faulks. The items included medals, uniform and a kit bag with uniform accessories.

Pioneer Days were held on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th April 2016 with great comments from all visitors.

Volunteer’s Barbecue
Volunteers who work at the museum had a barbecue at Pioneer Museum Park on the 1st February 2014.

The Condon Family donate Dead Man’s Penny
This Remembrance Plaque was awarded to the family of James Edward Gordon who served in the 45th Battalion AIF during world War One. Bernie Condon and Patricia Moon presented the award to Garth Chittick President of the Kangaroo Valley Historical Society.

Tyndale Christian School
Year 5 students from the Tyndale Christian School enjoyed a visit to the Pioneer Museum Park. Bruno Henke gave an explanatory talk and escorted the students around the site. By all accounts an educational and good time was had by all.

Gareth Ward presents cheque
Gareth Ward, the local state MP for Kiama, presents a cheque to assist in the construction costs for a conservation building. The conservation building is being built in the style of the Pioneer Museum Park with the inside lined to suit the standards required to perform conservation work.
